What do you think about the bodyguard 380? Better than rugers lcp?

I haven't actually shot either but feature wise the Bodyguard seems much better and reviews have heavily suggested that it is better.

I have both and prefer the LCP. It fits better, shoots more instinctively and is less expensive than the Bodyguard.

I have a few reasons to like my LCP more. A buddy has the bodyguard and likes mine better as well. One thing is the amount of plastic and the laser. A laser is kinda "cool" but it's just another step that doesn't need to be there in close range. Also, your holster options are limited.

Yesterday, I was in my garage tinting the windows on my car and had my LCP sitting on a tall bar stool under a chilton manual. A neighbor came by to visit and slid the manual off the chair and along with it was my LCP. It fell 4 feet and landed on concrete. There are a few marks on it now but I took it out and put 50 rounds through it today without any issues. Not only is the LCP one of the most concealable guns, it's extremely durable. If it would have been a bodyguard, I am willing to bet the laser would have been broken (due to how it landed) and I would have had a large chunk of worthless plastic on the front of my gun.

I like the idea of the bodyguard but I would in no way trade my LCP for one. They are both great weapons though!

They are the 2 best selling small .380's where I work. Both reliable guns, easy to conceal and I can't do anything impressive beyond 8yrds with either of them. Ergonomically the S&W has a better feel and sight picture. I've seen a lot of lasers on the early model S&W's come in for repairs but not too many recently. For accuracy, try the Sig P238 with the extended mag. That's my two cents on the micros. I don't pack my LCP much anymore since I can consistently shoot 5inch groups with my Shield at 25yrds. But either of them beats throwing rocks!

I love my LCP. The only compact .380 I would ever consider trading it for is the Kahr P.380.
The Kahr is so sweet, but so expensive.

I'll throw in here.
I had both, dumped the Bodyguard. Investigate FTF before you buy one, wish I had. Always fired on the second trigger pull though. As long as the Bad Guy is patient, you will be okay.
Some will jump in with ammo types and all kinds of this or that, but the LCP never has failed to fire, not even once. Also wife said the Bodyguard hurt her hand when firing compared to the LCP. Don't know why that would be, but she was adamant.
