This video was posted by the Houston Homeland Security Dept in order to teach citizens how to handle a mass shooting.

I can't wait to hear what you guys and gals think about this one.....

A nearly six-minute video created by the City of Houston in an effort to teach residents what to do during a shooting. Homeland Security officials said they realized during training exercises that first responders knew how to react but citizens were far less knowledgeable. The video was made using $200,000 from a federal grant, and its release was expedited following last month's movie theater shooting in Aurora, Colo.

In the old days, we were trained to surround the building and wait on the SWAT teams to arrive. Let them clear the building.
Columbine forced Law Enforcement too re-think their tactics. Now we were trained that once the units arrive first two in, find the shooter, take him down as quickly as you can.

In these cases, the more time he / she has the more people they will kill.

We trained citizens, to keep a wooden wedge in their office and wedge the door if they could not escape.

Notice in the video that the guy walks right by the Texas gun buster signage on the door. Maybe they really are waking up to the fact that gun control doesn't work for controlling criminals, but I doubt it.
