As anyone used one. Very interested in getting one for my first ccw gun

Jason1983,
I have been using my SR9, the big brother of the SR9C, for quite a few years now. I find it to be a great gun for carry. The SR9C came out after the SR9, but I decided to stay with my SR9 as it holds up to 18 rounds, with 1 in the chamber. The smaller version does not, and as far as I know there is no aftermarket mag that will. I think the larger version has better balance and the hand grip is very comfortable, because it is adjustable. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these American made pistols. Parts could be a problem with some foreign makes from Brazil, Mexico, Etc.

I have the SR40c and I don't to much faith in it. As long as I use the 9 round mags it's a shooter but, when I use the 15 round mags the gun stinks. The mags do not lock in place without forcefully putting it in. For a defense weapon you don't need to be fiddling with the mags. So mine in in the safe and I use ole faithful Glock 19. Now I have heard it's not an issue with the 9c but I don't know that for sure. It's ashame really because I really like the gun but don't trust it.

I have both SR9C and SR40C and they are both great. No issues at all. Very accurate. Trust them both.

No problems with the 15 round mags on the SR40c? If not how old is it because mine has a problem? It's a common problem for the 40c but, one of the reviews I saw on You tube said they had no issue with the 9c it's just the 40c. Never fixed it don't use it much at all collects dust in my cabinet. Maybe I'll resurrect it if i can find a fix. I never really research it to be honest.

My SR9c came with a 10 rd mag and a 17 rd mag. The mags between the SR9 and SR9c are interchangeable.

I know. My SR9 came with two 17 rd mags. I sent to Ivanhoe Wholesale in Ma. and bought two 10 rounders as my state was talking mag limits, and some states that I travel to already have 10 rd limits. They listed from Ruger for $42.95 Ea. I believe, but I paid about $25.00 each from Ivanhoe. They were factory pack Ruger mags.
I carry everyday in a Pro-Carry Deep Comfort Holster from The Holster Store in Florida. Good price, and quick shipping, USA made.

No problem with mine. Call Ruger and see if they will exchange your mag.
