I bought an SR40c last spring. I have shot over 600 - 700 rounds through it this summer. Not one jam. Not one misfire. Just flawless service! It is small enough to carry concealed and large enough to properly handle with my ham hands. Not as much kick as I expected but strong enough to know it is not a toy. It dances a little but easy to recover for an accurate second shot.
I have the SR9C and I love it. Got is about a month ago and put about 350 rounds through it. It eats everything I put through it. No mis-feeds. I did have the trigger stick twice in the first box of 50 but since then, no problems. The guy at the range told me no to worry, it just needs to run about 200 rounds through it to break it in. I just took the CCW class so I am waiting on the official plastic so I can not comment on carrying it. I am looking forward to do that. I want to add a tactical light to the rail but still looking at the best model.
I have a SR9c. I have carried it while wearing just about anything from shorts to jeans to dress pants. At first I had a problem with light strikes. Called Ruger customer service, they e-mailed me a return label from UPS. Only the striker needed to be replaced but Ruger kindly replaced the whole slide because there was a scratch. Customer service was awesome and I have had no malfunctions since the repair.
My wife has an SR9C, I carried it as my back-up till she got her CC permit. It has operated flawlessly for both of us. The likes it even better since a light was added on. She carries all the time.
