Ruger SR1911

I'm considering getting an SR1911 and am wondering what experiences anyone has had, good or bad.

Best gun I have ever Owned and or fired.
Very low recoil, more push than flip, Follow up shots come easy and I carry mine every day.

You'll need to run 100 or so rounds through it to be sure you have no FTF or FTE issues.

The Only problem I had with mine are the 7 round mags, They'll run fine with 6 rounds in them, with 7 rounds in them they won't feed the 1st round. Same issue on 2 of my Ruger 7 round mags.
I solved the problem by getting several (3) Chip McCormic 8 round mags.
No issues and they mount flush at the bottom of the grip. I hate the look of the extension sticking out.

I got mine a while back NIB for $699.00. A Fantastic value.
Buy one and you'll never regret it. Excellent 1911.

Not mine, my buddy's. I think now he wants the SR1911 CMDR. It was easy to shoot with.

Mine is Full Size and all stainless. Thought about the (? Spelling) Cherikote but decided against it. Interesting look though.

Bought one in June, and have only put 30 rounds through it so far....I'm a newbie at this, but kept 27 within 8" circle and 3 flyers. (That's not the fault of the gun, trust me....) I like it very much.

My SR1911 is a much better shot than I am. Great weapon to own. Looking for a commander to go with it.
