Ruger sr 45

Just picked up a new addition last week...took it to the range this week . After a couple hundred rounds of digesting diffirent types of 45 acp. ammo i came one one conclsion...I love this gun...Its very accurate as i was shooting coke cans from 25yds...functuined flawlessly...nice trigger ...recoil like a 9mm ..after a couple more trips to the range it may replace my glock 22 as my home defense gun...

Good choice. Bought one about a year ago and absolutely love it. I like to make a habit of shooting out the centers of my targets @ 21 yds. One thing to be aware of...don't buy aftermarket mags for it. I bought one on Ebay a couple months ago and I experienced 3 FTFs with it. I immediately took it out of circulation and had no FTFs since. If you buy extra mags, get OEM Ruger.

I have the 9MM version and have had it since 2010. I love it. Like you guys, no problems what so ever. I have the 2/17 round mags that came with it. I also bought 2/10 rounds mags in case the law on magazine capacity is changed where I live, as they are trying. I figured if it is changed. mags will be real scarce. I bought 2 mags from a place called Ivanhoe Warehouse Outlet in Billerica, Mass. They are factory packed Ruger magazines. I paid $27.95 a piece for them plus $5.00 shipping = $60.90 total. These mags list at about $42.00 plus from Ruger. Saved over $23.00.

Fortunately, I was able to snag a Ruger OEM mag for my new LC9 at a local gun show. It was their last one, and they had no SR45 mags with them. Odd, I thought. Checked the Ivanhoe website...no SR45 mags in stock. I'll try again in the future. Thanks for the heads-up!
