Romney Tramples the 2nd Amendment
August 11, 2011

(GunReports.com) -- From Aaron Dorr, Executive Director of the Iowa Gun Owners 2nd Amendment group:

According to the national polls, Governor Romney is the frontrunner for the GOP nomination. Given his hostile record and his unashamed quotes supporting even more gun control - you and I need to all we can to get the word out here in Iowa.

Recently several of you have contacted us to ask us about specific candidates and their responses or lack thereof to our Presidential Survey. Many of you said that you “knew” Governor Romney was “bad on guns” but that you didn’t really know why. Governor Romney has not yet replied to our candidate survey. To be blunt, I don’t expect that he will. Let’s review his statements and record.

Romney is a true RINO. His healthcare stance and gun stance prove that. Rick Perry and Ron Paul would both be better choices.

I've been saying that all along. RINO to the max! What really ticks me off about him is the cocky smirk he adopts when he "lowers" himself to get into a "debate", like he KNOWS he is gong to be the chosen one for the GOP. (Does he know something we don't?)

Either way, there is no way in hell I will vote for him. I'll take Perry first, or one of the other "whackos" the Dems seem so afraid of.

Note: The Dems indicate by the aggressiveness (or lack thereof) of their personal attacks against a certain potential candidate the ones that frighten them the most. "Mutt" Romney gets a virtual pass while Perry, Bachman, Paul, et al get hammered. Notice also that the ones that the Dems seem to fear most are those who are avowed "enemies" of the "business as usual" old boys' network on Capital Hill.

Why? Because many of these so called "fringe" candidates are, first and foremost, apostles of the philosophy of balanced budget and fiscal responsibility. (Tea Party ideals.)

THAT should tell you something!

While the Socialist Left can be construed to be the primary "enemy" of the REAL Taxpayers..... be also assured that the "Big Government" Reps are running a close second placing. So, I don't care which Party or splinter party the candidate comes from, what is needed, RIGHT NOW, is a President that understands and will follow a policy of budgetary restraint and no deficit spending. Our future as a Nation depends upon arriving at that understanding and Government Policy to make it so.

Unless that happy result can be arrived at, all else, all other agendas, are moot. The money will NOT be there to be able to afford it. (At least money that is worth more than the paper it is printed on.)

I have asked this, a number of different places, over the past couple of years, to no avail nor solid, logical answer: "What happens to the Governmentally Dependent when the Government does not have the money to maintain their lifestyle any longer?"

I don't know, but I don't expect it to be "pretty".

After reading up on Rick Perry last night, I think he more of a better candidate than Ron Paul. He is better looking too. If we people will not get our A$$es straight and walk our talk, then the OB will win the next election again. By this time the vote buying and the people buying by the Soros machine is already continuing. He had the whole Dems in his payroll and a few RINOs. But WE THE PEOPLE will still prevail if we all band together and get OB and his cahoots out before we turn into another Europe...

A vote for Romney would be like voting for McCain again. Voting for the lesser of two "eveil does not work. Americans people are not feeling the pain yet. I say vote for the deveil and let the party to begin.

Thank God I'm alive!
I don't know why anyone is surprised by this. All of you DO remember which state he was governor of, don't you? This is the same "Republican" who imposed universal health care upon the people of his state and supported a state supreme court ruling legalizing gay marriage (as a libertarian I'm indifferent about gay mariage, but nevertheless, no true conservaive would dare support a court ruling like that). I don't tend to vote Republican in presidential elections (I voted Libetarian in 08), but if I were to in 2012, fellow Hoosier Gov. Mitch Daniels (who isn't even running but is would make a great candidate, in my opinion) would get my vote.

Red flags for me, a conservative republican from Mass? Excuse me! The main stream media treats him with kid gloves. Really. Main stream RINO's don't attack him. Wow. Wake up voters and pay attention.

Yeah really. The Regime being the Host and the Media being the parisite. They will always echo the Regime and let you know what they are afraid of. I voted for McCain and to this day I still put myself to the whipping post. What these Terrorist don't realize is that the Tea Party is a mind set there is no leader and it frustrates the hell out of them so they Terrorize, non believers of the Regime.
