I guess for the price, but what about quality? I could get you an XD 45 for just about the same price, and the quality is hands down above. Not meaning to demaen the Firearm, just pointing out that price shopping might not be the way to go? Try pricing a few different 45's on auction sites, you might find a Hanggun you Really like and most defenitly like? I dont mean to offend you in any way, but if you have to price shop you are trading for quality...

it is a better more fitted gun...

I got my RIA tactical a couple months ago, i have no complaints. Was at the indy 1500 today couldnt really find them at all. The dealers said they were selling like crazy, all weekend. I paid under 500.

There are better pistols out there but for the price the RIA is a good pistol, my only issue w/ mine is that the parkerized finish is prone to rust.

I’ve had no malfunctions w/ mine; magazines are dirt cheap and available everywhere Armscorp customer service is top notch. If I ever decide I can’t live w/out a super .38 I will likely buy an RIA

For those that don't know.. the STI Spartans, all RIA 1911s, and even the old Charles Daily 1911s are all from Armscor. They get shipped out as different brands and of course assembled and fitted by their respective companies... But all are made in the Philippines on those great old Colt presses. Almost got a Spartan, but was told they never planned to make a Hi-Cap Spartan, hence I went with RIA.

I have and RIA. No issues with it at all. Under $500, good daily carry gun.

You won't be disappointed robstid. If it's you first 1911, then it's probably the best decision you could make. Some folks "graduate" later on to the top-shelf 1911s but I don't think I'll ever will. I think it's safe to say that I have a Rock addiction!!!
