Resident vs non resident CCW

Do most states follow the same law for the time they are supposed to reply to your application for a CCW, between resident and non resident.

Say if the state says 45 days to let you know is that for both types of application?

i think it varies and depends on the number of applicants at the time

when you applied for your permit...they should have given you a website to go to to check the status on your application. I had to call on mine as they spelled my name wrong in putting me into the system. Contact your county's records bureau to see how your application is being processed. Good luck to you.

It can vary. ME specifically states 30 days for residents, 60 days for non. When I got my CT non-res permit, I had it in 40 days mailbox to mailbox....there are residents that don't hear anything even after 10 weeks.

30 days for residents in Washington. 90 days for non-residents.
