Requirements for starting an indoor range

What other than several bushels of Hundred Dollar Bills does it take to start an "In Door" shooting range?
I can't seem to find information as to: lane width, optimal length, back stop, ventilation, EPA. (the list is endless)
Talking to proprietors at existing ranges has proved futile.

Sign up for the NRA range development course. I took it several years ago found it very helpful. Sadly did not build a range. My county did not want one.

I would highly recommend the NRA Range Development and Operation Conference to anyone thinking about starting any kind of range. It gives a great amount of information on everything from building a business plan and getting financing to dealing with local communities and politicians. It really leaves no stone unturned. The next one is Oct. 6-10 in San Diego. Sign up soon if you are interested they limit it about 80 people and it fills fast. The link below will take you right to it.

Thanks!!!

Thanks guys, I've gotten more information in one day than I did on my own in the last three months!

You welcome.
Like I said I would start with "Action Target".

I looked into building a range a few years ago and they provided me with a consultant that gave me a whole bunch of info FREE!

I will tell you that it is going to cost a BUNCH!

Think a few $MIL for a 10-12 lane pistol range. (That will NOT include the price of the property or building.)

It's gotten a whole lot more costly and there is a lot more "red-tape" BS now-a-days.
