Howdy,

Passed into law by a GOP controlled Senate and signed into Law by a GOP POTUS, Ronald Reagan. It banned the manufactor of machine guns for sell to private citizens.

The only Federal Pro-Gun Law EVER passed by Congress and signed into Law was done by a Democratic controlled Congress and a Democratic POTUS, Barack Obama.

This Law allows holders of a CCW permit to carry a conceal handgun in National Parks.

I live about 15 miles from Hot Springs National Park and routine travel through the NP section of Hot Springs. Before this Law went into to effect I had to either knowingly and willingly break the Law or drive 20 miles out of my way to get home, or leave my gun at home. Nowadays I have to do none of the above.

Since this Law has gone in effect I have travelled to over 20 NPs where I have been able to carry my concealed handgun.

Some that I've been to lately have been Gettysberg, Bull Run at Manasses, and Smokey Mountain just to name a few.

The Hughes Amendment was illegally added and not recorded due to one Democrat by the name of Charles Rangel. The reason the whole Bill got passed was otherwise, the Dems threatened to block it completely. And it was felt that it was more important to get the rest of the Bill done. The rest of the Bill was Pro-Gun/FFL. It put a leash on the ATF.
