Although truth be told, we do need to hold a Article 5 Constitutional Amendment Convention. Called for by the States, you know Congress will not do it,to up date and or abolish the 16th, 17th amendment. Replace the 16th with a National Sales Tax that covers all sales, no exceptions at 14-17%. (This would include all visiting heads of State, crack heads, pimps, illegals and ALL that purchase in this US of A.) As for the 17th, Senators should either be appointed by their State Legislators of their Governors. (Different per State Constitution) This would eliminate the need for term limits.

My 28th Amendment would simply grant Washington D.C. full, voting representation in the House and Senate. If we can require D.C. residents to pay income taxes to the federal government, then we can provide them the same opportunity as residents of the 50 states to elect people to vote for or against legislation on their behalf.

That proposal sounds like the author is upset that others have rights. To bad we can't repeal ignorance.

Do away with the Bill Of Rights and have a show similar to American Idol where anyone can make suggestions for replacement of those Rights. Then each week for a month or two the laws presented the week before are adopted by viewer votes and by the panel of "Judges". The Judges would be made up of people that are easily recognized and trusted by the general TV watching population. You know,Hollywood actors, Rock Stars, Sports Heroes and News Anchors from the main stream media. The same type that influence today's voters. Wow a Gubment with it's finger on the pulse of today's pop culture! A true "living Constitution"! JUst let the "man in the street" take this proposal out there to the "common folk" Maybe WATTERS WORLD or bring back "Jay Walking" Imagine how many useful idiots would think this was as great as a $10 latte or whatever it costs at Starbucks.
