Removing Deck Stain from your hands

I was staining my new deck today and got some deck stain on my hands and skin. Seems this is the time of year when others are staining and re-staining decks and outdoor wood items. I looked on the internet and found suggestions like vinegar, vegetable oil, hand cream, nail polish remover, etc.
First of all use rubber gloves when staining wood. When it comes to cleanup time, nothing works as fast as gasoline. Just soak a rag and the stain wipes right off. Be sure to wash your hands, arms, skin areas with a good soap like lava or Dawn dishwashing soap after the gasoline. I remembered using gasoline to remove copper paint off me when I was just a kid about 60 years ago. We used copper paint/oil stain on boat bottoms. nothing better than gasoline for any kind of deck stain. Be careful what you do with the gasoline soaked rag, don't start a fire in you house or shop.

With most oil-based stains the dish washing liquid is all I need and use. If it contains some kind of sealer also, then gasoline or paint thinner( mineral spirits) is just the ticket.

Cleaning up with gasoline isn't worth the risk! Gasoline is extremely volatile; even nothing more than the fumes, themselves, can easily, 'airburst' on you, and light ya right up! Neither should you abrade nor open the pores in your skin with hot water or any sort of strong soap after using gasoline. Gasoline is already toxic and permeable enough without giving it any help. Kerosene, on the other hand, works almost as well and has a lot less risk associated with using it. Me? I always wear Nitrile gloves - Which I purchase in 100 count boxes. - whenever I'm cleaning guns, staining a stock; or, otherwise, using cleaning solvents like Acetone, kerosene; or, even, WD-40. (Which, also, works!)

For you only sr9, I suggest trying muriatic acid, I promise it will take any stain you have off your hands...
