you cannot keep ANY gun in your truck in NJ. I don't know if the 870 is or isn't legal there and there is a round limit I think that it is 3

You are from New York and you are asking about New Jersey, Conn, and Mass regarding carrying a shotgun in you vehicle, really is this some kind of joke/prank.

For an Easterner to ask about this just seems so out there. You need to do some research on line and you will find out all that you will need and as a gun owner it is your responsibility to find out and know what the laws are with regard to any weapons you want to transport.
