A capital murder charge was filed against Verna Deann McClain for the murder of Kala Golden Schuchardt, whose baby Keegan Schuchardt was kidnapped Tuesday evening outside the Northwoods Pediatric Center. Police said Verna Deann McClain, who is black, confessed to shooting Kala. This is sick and barbaric. Kala Golden Schuchardt was shot multiple times and then ran over by Verna Deann McClain after taking her three day old son to the pediatrician for a routine checkup. McClain, a registered nurse, had reportedly told her sister, Corina Jackson, earlier that she was adopting a baby, according to the Montgomery Police Reporter. In other words, she targeted Kala Golden Schuchardt just for that reason, to snatch her baby by any means necessary.

I disagree....

The fact that the murderer was a registered nurse shows that she most likely had access to the victims personal information, baby records, appointments, etc...

The fact that the murderer is black and the victim is white shows a probable hate crime.

I will agree though that the murderer is a 'nutcase' because she allready has 3 children of her own.
So why would she even bother kidnapping another baby??

It's a shame we have cheapened life so much that we have this going on in daylight. What, did she expect to just blow this off? Did she think she would get away with this. Murder the mother and steal the baby, oh well life goes on. No news here. God help us. :help:

Boy talk about stereotyping. My wife is also a Registerd Nurse in a Hospital Emergency Room, that doe's not mean that she or any other nurse has acces to anyones personal information,baby records, appointments etc.

She was black and the Mother was White, if it was a hate crime don't you think she would have shot the White baby also. I am sure glade that you did not work for me in my Police Department, with your thinking you would not last long before the law suits started to pour in.

a) She was probably planning on 'selling' this white baby for some quick cash.
A dead baby wouldn't sell for as much now would it?
It wouldn't be the first time something evil like that has happened.

b) She 'shot' the white woman 'numerous' times and as if that wasn't bad enough then she also 'ran her over' with her car as she fled the scene!

c) All of this happened during the very recent and ongoing racial rhetoric coming from the mainstrream media d/t the Treyvon/Zimmerman fiasco.

Sounds like a friggin 'hate crime' to me!

I don't believe it was racially motivated but that's kind of the point - the race-baiters like Sharpton, Jackson, and everyone working for NBC just love playing the race card even when there's no evidence of racism. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. They don't care about motives....they only care about how much camera time they can get and how much ****** they can stir up.

Much like "Outlaw", I too wondered what the poverty pimps and the ultra-liberal media would have to say about this heinous crime. Not surprisingly they seem to be treading very lightly with this one, if at all. I found it humorous in a shake-my-head-in-disgust kind of way that the national media outlets chose not to mention that the perp was wearing a sweatshirt (a "hoodie"?? Sound familiar??) at the time of the murder. I learned that fact via the Houston Chronicle. But I'm sure the perp was just making an urban fashion statement by wearing a "sweatshirt" while committing her premeditated crime even though the temperature was around 80....she wouldn't have been all "Trayvoned-up" in an attempt to hide her identity, would she??

If the skin colors were reversed, you can be sure that the media would make sure we knew the shooter had once thrown a pebble at a small black boy when she was 5, doesn't like licorice, and that her great, great, great grandfather had been in the Confederate army.....all "obvious" signs of racism. Sure.
