Record U.S. Gun Production

A 31% jump in production, translating to nearly as many guns sold in 2012 as in during Bush's entire eight year term in office is certainly a sign about what the American public thinks about Obama, government in general, and the specter of more gun control. Those are really staggering statistics, and I believe a large part of those increased numbers of newly produced weapons went to new, freshly-minted gun-owners who were awakened as much towards arming themselves because of the Newtown murders, as the gun-grabbers were towards disarming Americans. Of course, only a small percentage of those new (or old for that matter) gun-owners would ever take up arms in defense of their liberties, but even so, it is still a percentage added to the numbers who would/will.
As Mike Vanderboegh said from the steps of the CT Capitol Bldg. shortly after their Intolerable Act was passed, "We must, if we wish to avoid armed conflict, get this message across to the collectivists who have declared their appetites for our liberty, our property, and our lives: When Democracy turns to tyranny, THE ARMED CITIZENRY STILL GETS TO VOTE!"
Some of those folks who contributed to the increased numbers of manufacture and sales, understood that fact before Mike articulated it directly to the tyrants of CT government.

I agree with you. This president has been the best gun salesman ever but, you are dead wrong when you say he is the worst president ever. He became the best gun salesman ever boosted by fear and sponsored by the NRA. The NRA while in public spoke very harshly towards President Obama and in the back room they were saying what a blessing he has been to our increased member numbers and gun sales.

The N R A doesn't sell guns, and I seriously doubt that they had much, if any, influence in people buying more guns than usual. The rush to buy guns, ammo, mags and accessories that would get caught up in another AWB started literally the day of Sandy Hook. Within a week or two, no one could find a 30 round mag, 5.56 or 7.62 ammo, shortages of black rifles were rampant, and that all happened before N R A got any kind of membership drive built around Sandy Hook ramped up. It was a very organic groundswell, not contrived by the N R A, and that's coming from someone who has no use at all for the N R A to the point of putting spaces between the letters so I'm not responsible for providing another link to their recruiting site.

And the same things did not happen when concealed carry became law in Florida like the antis said.

Let's not forget Chicago, where the chief said if a concealed carry licensee even turned toward a police officer with a gun in hand, he would be shot.
The single most ignorant, and blatantly stupid remark I have ever heard from a ranking LEO, and I've heard some doozies.
