Been wanting to get into a traditional rifle that would be good for some long range shooting. Decided to buy a RUGER AMERICAN RIM FIRE in 17HMR. Stainless model. I am putting together the accessories, some stuff coming from the family as Xmas gifts. Have been buying some plinkin ammo for it. Will have to settle on indoor shooting until Spring when I can get up to the cabin. I have a set up where I can shoot comfortably at about 165" right now. Going to clear out some more trees so I can get out to about 90 yards. A short drive to the State land affords me unlimited ranges.

Putting a muzzle devise on the end. Not really needed, but it looks real good. Can always remove it if I ever feel inclined to get a can & pay our lovely government a tax for the pleasure of using it. (NOT!!!)

Have a set of AIM rings propping up a Bushnell Banner 6-9x40 scope. Want to put it all into a Boyd's All in One stock. Will have to hold off on that for awhile.

Will be posting some pics as the gun progresses.
