Range

So went to the range today to break in another new pistol. Well i got there and shot little over 100 rounds and was told i could not buy anymore ammo there because there was a limit of 1 box per customer and you had to shoot it there. So i sat there thinking about it for a minute and i was like okay i pay a membership to shoot here and now you are going to tell me how much ammo i can buy to shoot with. This ammo **** is really getting old. I mean it is bad enough you cant find it half the **** time but now it is hurting ammo range centers and long time customers who have paid memberships that shoot all the time. So instead of breaking a gun in with 200 rounds have had to resort to 100 rounds per new pistol. Just sharing some information.

Are you spoiled?
.
I told you guys to quit burning this **** up..........you ain't listening.
.
Good god man...........what's gonna happen to you boys when the real suffering begins?

I am not spoiled just like to do what i have PAID for. Also there is no reason to buy a new gun if you cant even break it in. Not only does it hurt customers it also hurts business.

Ammo is impossible to find. All the paranoid people are hoarders and bought it all, drove up demand, and screwed us all.

For the next few months there is no such thing as target shooting. All the ammo we would buy to take shooting for fun is now sitting in somebody's closet waiting for the apocalypse...

People don't misunderstand what i am saying. The ammo crisis is hurting everyone not just customers it is affecting businesses nationwide also people will not spend money to go to a range if they cant find ammo. People will not buy new guns if they cant find ammo to break them in or even shoot with for that matter. People will not buy or pay for a membership at a gun center with all the ammo stuff going on. just sharing some information.

My point broke down:

Range per visit non members $19.95
1 box of ammo average what $14.99 or $18.00 a box and higher

And if a person is limit to 1 box of ammo to me it just doesn't add up. To me it is almost not worth it. How will a business stay a float like this. How will they survive and sale guns also if they have no ammo for the guns they are selling. I feel very sorry for the mom and pop places they will not survive this ordeal. Just sharing some information.

My point broke down:

Some permit safety classes where i live range from $60.00 to $90.00 and even higher

People will not get there carry permits if they have no ammo to put in a gun to take the course with. Therefore proper training will not be completed
I think everyone sees my point. Just sharing some information

This will hurt current gun owners. Businesses. New gun owners. People seeking safety classes to educate or to obtain legal permits to carry. If no ammo to put in guns then there will be no need for accessories for our guns either. Just sharing some information

Yeah, I went to my local gun store last Saturday to buy some cheaper 9mm ammo to go to the range and was limited to 2 boxes.

Typical stash.......not uncommon to have 25K to 150K on hand.

.
Range? what's a range?.
.
Back yard.

Well be sure to send us all your address when the zombies invade. I will gladly help you use it all up !

That's not my stash.
.
I had a large collection and ammo for each caliber weapon. I sold most all of it.........Pack light, be mobile.
.
I still have 7K rounds for my primary and plenty of hand gun ammo.
.
One of the objectives of war is plunder.........I have what I need to get what I want.........I will.

I think you are missing the point to my post !

NOT at all.
.
The days of casual and cheap range time are OVER......at least for the next 12 months or so.
.
All ammo is on back order........most have a 6 month ship date.
.
Plenty of folks are stocking up, so even the 6 month period.........ammo coming in is for stocking not shooting.
.
We may very well be interring a period of war in this country.......you will need all you can get your hands on.

I have adequate supply locked and boxed in several locations, saw this coming when the traitor Obama was elected the first time. Peace, Love, Colt 45.

I am friends with a gun and range owner in Oklahoma. I asked him the other day if he had any 22LRs or 9mm FMJ, and he said yes, but he couldn't sell any of it, because he needed it for his classes and the indoor range. He can't get much of a supply right now, either. But he expects the shortage to be over in a couple of more months or so.
And if we indeed have a war shortly, and don't have a good stockpile, we'll just have to keep praying, and make sure every shot counts... It won't be the first time in my life that I've been in caught between a rock and a hard place, and I've lived to fight another day.
