Question for Smith and Wesson M&P 45c owners

Hello all! I just recently purchased an M&P 45c and enjoy the firearm a great deal but failed to notice something with the firearm that I have just now become aware of. Whenever looking at the rear of the gun I notice that my slide does not fit flush with the polymer lower frame. There is ~1/8" of frame extending behind the slide making it look like the slide is not fully back on the frame as it should be. Are there any other 45c owners out there who have noticed this same issue? So far I've had no issues with the firing of the weapon but do not know if this may be indicative of a problem that may be coming down the road. Thanks for any feedback!

Mine sits flush. Are you able to bring it flush manually? I would talk to someone at S&W about it to make sure you're not going to run into problems.

I can push rearward on the slide to line the slide up with the frame but once I let the pressure off the slide returns forward. Nothing seems to be affected functionally with the gun but as I mentioned earlier I'm worried that it may indicative of some impending failure. I have shot an email out to Smith and Wesson but haven't received a response back yet. Hopefully they can shed some light on the issue.
