Question concerning Concealed Carry\Public Transportation

I am brand new to this forum, so I hope this has not already been asked. Being that I live in Illinois (Cook County) and I am still hoping to see concealed carry pass I was wondering what the policies or laws are on ccw while using public transportation. If you know the name of the company that provides service in your area and their policy it would be greatly appreciated.

I do work in public transportation and I am 100 percent pro gun, but I am looking for information to provide my company. In other words, ammunition for the fight

Massachusetts is actually pretty easy on where you carry, once you've obtained your license. MBTA (subways, buses, and commuter rails serving Boston and outlying metro areas) have no prohibition for riders with LTC.

However, if you apply for a Performing Artist Permit on MBTA, you are prohibited from carrying or transporting firearms. Link Removed

Thanks for the info

In Washington state, if the transportation is "public" as in provided by the government, they must allow either open or concealed carry by state law. To keep the handgun loaded, you must have a CPL, though.

My suggestion is to move away from the communist state you live in. You may as well be locked in a cage sitting in a river full of rats.

Ohio law does not forbid carry on public transportation, therefore it is legal. However, several Regional Transit Authorities have violated state preemption by posting "no guns" signs on their buses. Cleveland and Columbus have both done that. So far no one has bothered to challenge them. If I used public transportation, I would ignore those signs since they are illegally posted.
