Publix has no problem with customers legally carrying in their stores, however employees are forbidden from having any weapons on their person or in their store provided locker while working.

i think you should be able to ccw any where but a court house school or church.

The Court House's and The Legislative Meeting Chamber's while in session only. Schools , Post Office Lobbies & Police Lobbies should be allowed along with other places. Court House's because of emotional issues with litigants, same goes for the legislature's. The rest is just common sense.

As far as I'm concerned, if the building itself does not have a secure facility for holding criminals or the accused, jail cells, then it has no basis for denying my my ability to secure myself.

Very true all around, and I must say it is one of the least enforced rules at the stores, nearly half the guys I worked with carried an "unauthorized" pocket knife with them pretty much all the time, one of my managers even kept one with him, so they really didn't seem to care as far as that goes.

Seriously dude?

How many people have allready been murdered within these so called Gun Free Zones?

Do you really think that some homicidal maniac who decides to 'go postal' will not enter any of those places with a firearm?
People with your mindset are part of the problem, not the solution i.m.h.o. :crazy_pilot:

I agree laws restricting carry in any location will only stop people who obey the law, which in my mind is a very stupid move on the governments part. I always wondered if the lawmakers were in this dream state where they saw the hardened criminals stop and stare at the gun free zone signs, scowl and walk away because they were armed.
