Just brought her home. Cleaned her up nice and pretty (although it didn't take much). Can't wait to take her on her first trip to the range! Man what a good day. Cigar anyone?

Nice buy! I handled one yesterday in .40 cal.... a local range to us is having a S&W day on Saturday with reps on hand letting you shoot their stuff, free range time and ammo.... I might have to brave the crowds.

Be careful with the M&P Shields. I bought one in .40 S&W and returned it the next day. Both Shield models, though it seems to be mainly the .40's, drop mags quite often. I could not get more than 3-4 rounds out of my M&P40 Shield w/o dropping the mag. Most of the time it happened after each shot. Ended up getting an XD-40 instead.

I just picked up one yesterday S&W M&P in 40 looks like my fullsize M&P 40 gave birth. I really like the M&P's and like buying USA.

Watch out for mag dropping with the .40 model. Had that happen with the one I bought after almost every shot. Returned the thing the next day.

I have named her Kallisté, which is Greek for 'Most Beautiful'. I took her to the range today for her christening. 220 FLAWLESS rounds later (200 FMJ + 20 Hornady Critical Duty +P), boy was she happy...not one hiccup, burp, or soiled diaper. What a trigger!! Got her home and gave her a nice bath, then rubbed her down with a little Weapon Shield. She's growed up real fast and now ready for EDC. That's good... put another 150 through to be sure, but it looks like you got one of the good ones. Oh well, I'm VERY pleased with my XD-40sc I got instead.
