Did I miss something here or am I dreaming in lala land? I assume we are talking CC for yourself and your family. I agree with this scenario. You may be CC but you also have a cell phone and you call 911 and become a reliable witness. If Smoo wakes up, I would add that even though SC has an alter ego rule that allows you to intervene in someone else's imminent danger situation as if they are you, you can never be sure of the circumstances surrounding such a situation and this can get you in a lot a trouble--you may be right and may have saved a life but you can also be wrong and may now face liabilities--felony and civil. You KISS--keep it simple and protect yourself and your family if you are CC. Let the police do their job.
