I'm sure they don't show them everywhere. It sounded like he approved. Not too common for the TV media.

Too bad she couldn't get her hand down and put him in the ground. She can probably live better with this outcome anyway.

What is the point of having a gun and a permit if she did not carry it with her and has to reach to her car to get it? I am sorry this happens but if she has her gun with her, a quick turn around could have save her quicker. Glad no one was hurt...

Yeah, what she said! I may be skinned for saying, er, typing this, but if she'd have put three through him it would have saved tax payers many, many, many, many thousands of dollars and would have prevented him (a convicted sex offender) from attacking whoever will likely be next when he gets out.

Think about that. Your wife, your sister, your mother or your daughter. ...Still think my comment up there is over the top?

Two rounds center mass...the third center groin.

I have a gun. It's right here behind me. Don't make me shoot a hole in the roof of my car. Okay, I warned you.
Now I have 4 bullets left, don't make me waste any more of them.

She was very lucky.

Yea, I dont think I'd be inclined to tell the guy I was about to shoot him first. Rather just let it be a nasty surprise.

Hole in roof of car not in BG, no warning, giving BG warning give BG the advantage, his first warning from my wife would have been muzzle blast center mass, gun in car is STUPID, personal opinion is this woman should not be carrying a weapon, glad she is ok.

She was just outside of a bank. I don't know about Ohio, but in Oklahoma...you CANNOT carry a weapon into the bank. I leave mine in my console when I go inside the bank. Maybe that is why her gun was in her car?

Yup she probaly just got out of the bank. She was in the parking lot. To bad she didn't shoot him. That was pretty bold on the robbers part if you look at where the parking lot is. Right in front and daylight??

For those remarking about her not having her weapon on her at all times, I'm sure it's because she's just coming out of or going into a bank (like 50SR9 alluded to). I live in Ohio and I also bank at PNC. Although it's not specifically illegal to carry a weapon into a bank, the law here does make it illegal to carry on any private propery where the owner states that you cannot carry. The vast majority of banks around here (PNC included) post signage stating that no weapons are allowed. Therefore she would have had to leave her weapon in her car. Thankfully Ohio CCW law allows the weapon to still be kept loaded and stored in a vehicle.

Of course, this goes to shows a "neutering" problem with the law, in that a law-abiding citizen won't carry into these so-called "safe zones", but a criminal isn't going to pay attention to the law. Banks and other properties that insist on establishing their own little "safe zones" are only setting themselves and their patrons up for the criminals.

If I were a criminal concerned about not knowing if my victim was carrying or not, what better place to execute my crime then in a "safe zone"? These zones only make it safer for the criminal, not the citizens.

It's the law that's issue, not the CCW holder in this case.

I'd say it saved her car, not necessarily her life

I'd say she saved a lot more than her car. The thugbastard is a registered sex offender. No telling what someone like that would do with the upper hand.

IMHO too bad she didn't get the chance to put a round in his groin.

1. Be Alert - ALWAYS...
2. She should have had it on her, not in the car.
3. Glad she survived. Now I wonder if it will be ON her person from now on.
4. Folks over there need to check their ammo. The little creep is probably already back out on bail! UGGH.

Yes but as said how can you if you came out of the bank? Unless you just carry in a bank anyway??

Sue the bank for not allowing you to protect yourself and not providing protection to their patrons, local bank here actually has a sign welcoming cc.

I don't recall seeing any no gun signs on our bank in Ohio. I know that the branch in the Krogers doesn't have one. Down here, there is no sign and if you are afraid because you have a large amount of cash ( I.E. business payroll ) they will escort you in/out. Off duty officer is there any time the bank is open.
