Problems with Beretta Px4 Storm Compact in 9mm

Anyone have problems with thier Px4 Storm 9mm Compact? I bought the gun and it would stove pipe the spent round at will. Every second or third round on an average. Then if the spent round made it out of the chamber, the slide would not strip a new round.

I sent the Beretta back to the factory since it was a brand new gun. They sent it back almost two months later saying it had a 40 cal. spring installed and that they took care of the problem. I let it sit for a few months and took it out a few days ago to shoot it again.

Made it through one magazine and then the problem started again. Stove piping rounds every second or third round and then not stripping a new round on occasion. I would hate to send it back to Beretta since they couldn't fix their own gun the first time and now I can't trust this weapon to not jam when I or my family would need it most.

I am reluctant to sell it to someone knowing it has these issues but have to sell it to buy another gun.

Anyone have this problem and have a positive outcome?

Have a PX4-SC ; never had the problem. It's shot flawlessly since the day I bought it. I'ld send it back with emphasis that the first time it was not fixed correctly, thus you have not really been able to use the gun. I'm betting it will get fixed this time, or replaced. Ammo itself not a problem ?? Have you tried other ammo and it did the same thing ? Because it sounds like a cycling problem.

Yeah, I'd send it back after trying different ammo and a different magazine. I have two of them and both have shot flawlessly except for the time I dropped a spring while putting one back together. Took me a while to figure out I was missing the spring, but other than that, mine have been fine.

Try some different ammo. If that doesn't solve it....then send it back, with the magazines, and a note on what ammo you are having problems with. I have both the .40 and 9 and haven't had a problem.

I have the sc and love it. Great platform I would send it back after trying other magazines and ammo and demand it be fixed

I will look into the magazine issue. I used two magazines with same problem but I will use a new one and see if the issue clears. Thanks.

I tried three ammo types and same problem occurs. I am going to try a new magazine and send it back again if it continues. Thanks everyone. I have the Px4 in full sized 40 cal and never had any problems. I love that gun.

I am not limp wristing. I have been shooting competitively for a long time and the same issue happens when range officials shoot it too. So that is not the issue.

Then I'd have to look to lubrication. What are you using for lube and where are you applying it?
