For those going to the rally, be prepared.
The State Capitol has parking spots for 20 buses,
Erie County alone has is sending 15 buses that I know of,
In total to my knowledge the are at least 80 buses so far descending in a pincer movement upon the objective.
The poor guberment workers may be a little inconvenienced by our presence due to traffic gridlock and large crowds of the "vocal minority" of gun owners who are being paid by "BIG GUN COMPANIES" to be there. (remember those words when the media reports this)
If you are approached by someone with a microphone and camera be prepared for open ended questions that are designed to get you to sound stupid.
If you are asked a stupid question, look at the person square in the eye and say "What? Are you really that stupid?"
Example" Sir. In wake of the killing of little children with large clip assault guns (that make me pee myself) in which the governor has now outlawed, how can you be against that? Your answer - "What? Are you really that stupid?"OR: Sir, The governor said this new law does not infringe on your Second Amendment rights, so why are your here?
Your answer: "What? Are you really that stupid?"
Having done this before, there was always time to get a coffee or a sandwich at the (soon to be outlawed) Fast Food restaurants. This time, not so much. I suggest you pack a lunch. Keep in mind that any pocket knife, fingernail clipper or sign pole will be confiscated by the STATE POLICE who are manning the metal detectors into the LOB (legislative office building) and you won't get them back.
Most of all. Have patience. This crowd could be anywhere from 5 to 15 thousand. If you accomplish nothing more than creating gridlock either on the streets or in the mall, or are part of a picture that shows a sea of vocal minority gun owning redneck hill billies for the media you have done somethiing.
Don't be offended because they think of you as a gun owning redneck hill billy. You have to remember that in their world, you are alien to them. They only surround themselves with the so called sophisticates, who like them wear thongs, get manicures, spend $100 dollars on hair cuts and love listening to the show tunes of Broadway Musicals. They can't help it it is the way they are.
If you think that talking to your elected officials is actually going to change their minds and that is your purpose for going, I fear that you shall be disappointed.
Finally: No matter what governor Dandy Andy says. My question to you New York gun owners is:
Forget about the way the law was passed.
Do you feel that your right to keep and bear arms in New York State is being infringed by the new S.A.F.E. Act?
A.) Yes
B.) No
