I personally have had great comfort with the Desantis holsters I use. They do not print as bad as plastic. Try wearing patterned shirts. It breaks up the printing.

AJ the Blackhawk CQC is a great holster for gun retention I have one also, but they are like tumors hanging off your side.
+1 on the DeSantis. I carry a M&P full size .45 and also a K frame 4" barrel Smith 357 in a DeSantis OWB and they feel great. Close to your side and a little high ride is what your looking for. You can get them in Speed Scabbard style and also thumb break style for retention and security.
For IWB look at the Crossbreed SuperTuck. They fit great and hide very well. Check out the pics on my album page "stuff".

There is on one right way to carry as demonstrated by this thread so I will share what I use cause It works for me and is the most comfortable position... funny I got a lot of laughs and criticism until they tried it. If you carry a gun that can go off without pressing the "bang button" then this holster is absolutely not for you. As the last thing you hear in the "X-files"....." I MADE THIS!"

i like it, only thing is i dont like to have somthing that can shoot my lil man off pointed at it... lol. no in all honesty tho i do like it alot, just have not found that having a gun either pointed at the lil man or dropping it down the back side of my pants to be very comfortable for me. for just walking around the mall or wallys world its awesome and comfortable, but then when i sit down i wish i didnt. thank you for sharing what u use. again i do like it.

Before you decide to buy a holster company or a new wardrobe, pick someone you trust (your wife or girlfirend, but not both) and see if they can "see" if you're carrying. I agree with most of the posters who said that most will never notice it. Texas says it must be "obvious" to a casual observer; that doesn't mean you have to disappear. Observe others to see if you think they are carrying, look at what they wear, but it might be wise not to ask. :biggrin:

AJ... thanks for the positive response... I do understand and agree with you... it took me a while to find that "sweet spot" where it is hardly noticeable when seated. Life is full of compromises and the "Phantom" works for me. Good luck with your search... and if you think you may want to try one of mine... let me know... I have a no risk offer as well... in fact I'll do one better and would make the same offer to anyone on this forum... If it works for you, send me a check... if not, just return.

Exactly. And even those that DO know.
My family members will give me the once-over before we leave the house and I STILL get asked if I'm carrying.
And they know where to look!
I don't carry IWB, either...

I have a Colt MK4 Officer's that was part of a trade deal. I kinda like the smaller 1911's..

I think I may save some pennies and go for Wilson Combat full size...
