Primer Question

Since having a hard time finding small pistol primers I ran across a box (1000) of small pistol magnum primers. I read somewhere that they can be used in place of regular small pistol primers but you need to reduce your powder load by 10%. Currently using 6gr. of HP-38 for my .40’s. Has anyone ever tried this before?

Yes you can use them. I have used magnum primers many times in non-mag calibers when I was searching for the perfect load. They can be harder besides being stronger. I have only ever bought them in single boxes for testing loads only. I would suggust you try only a 100 to start.
