Prices are going up

My LGS rose the price of 1000 rounds of 223 another 90$ territory at noon. From 400 to 490. They sold out everything they had. Didn't even bother to ask about other calibers.

Anyone else seeing this first hand?

Talked to a friend today and FFL; his supplier stopped all bulk sales due to the massive online purchasing.

I stocked up earlier, hedging on this happening. Just like in 2008.

Grab some stock in firearm and ammo manufacturers if you can. And do it pronto. The gun salesman of the year is back.

Been thinking about building an AR15. Procrastinating, as usual, I did some searching online only to find the "best-priced" lowers sold out! Went to couple of local stores and bought three. Thought a couple extra could be a good investment downrange.

Just got a Hornady Lock-n-Load AP and the stuff to set it up for 40S&W - .223 and .308 will come shortly. I've never really bought much ammo favoring to reload it, but it sucks reloading the amount I shoot on a single-stage. I spend a week or more reloading what I can shoot in one single session. Can't wait for it to arrive Tuesday-Wednesday.

I haven't seen anyone raising ammo prices, due to the election. Sounds like a bit of gouging going on there.

AR bolt carrier assy's, are high and dry. those selling AR's, AK's, etc.... have been hammered .... with sales.

A Cabella's here, had a 100 people in line most of the time (according to a guy I know that works there) just to do 4473's and buy a gun, while a couple hundred were there constantly looking at them every day since Tuesday.

Also ..... a lot of companies ... from small to large are laying off people, or advising of coming layoffs..... since Obamacare will be coming into effect and there appears to be no repeal on the horizon.

Went to my LGS the week before the election. 9mm had gone up $2 for a box of 50. Owner said he had already received a notice that it was going up again. Said something about the cost of primers.
