presidential race

Which presidential nominee can be trusted with not dismantling our 2nd amendment rights? Can Obama even be trusted?

none of the nominees, nor obama, have the balls to do anything anti-second amendment

Exactly. Even the ones who believe guns should be restricted (as Obama, Romney, and Gringrich have all done in prior elected positions,) wouldn't dare in the current political climate. As there is a movement on the left promoting gun rights more forcefully than ever before as well.

Can't trust Obama or any politician for that matter. They only represent the money stream. They don't represent the voters that put them there. I'm hearing talk of a Romney/Paul ticket, that could be interesting.

dunno if i'd like that. voted for obama last time (cant stand mccain or palin and did agree with SOME of obama's thoughts), but voted for paul in the SC primary. really do not like romney either. if it were reversed and it was paul/romney, then maybe.

So what you're saying is you voted for a socialist that hates America and the American way of life. Instead of someone that loves America and big government. That's interesting. How's all that hope and change working for you.

The ONLY politician I trust in the race is Ron Paul. I know where he stands and he will not change his message to suit the audience.

I think there have been 20 debates? Not once have I heard the question, "What is your stance on the 2nd Amendment, and what are your plans to protect it"? Can we really believe that out of all of the gun owners and gun rights organizations in America that not once has the question been presented? Go figure.

I never have been a single-issue voter. Everybody gets one vote and is welcome to vote for their candidate for any reason they see fit. Pro-life, gay rights, the price of gas, you name it. However, like it or not, we are going to get the whole package when it comes to our President. There will be good parts and bad parts. Therefore, to look at a single issue, like gun rights, and base your vote on it seems to me to be narrow-minded. But hey, it is your vote, go for it.

There is actually a single issue to vote for. It's oppression and over-regulation with a big government person or freedom and open marketplace with a small government person. If the candidate believes that the government is the grantor of rights, that narrow minded single issue is enough for me to not pull the lever for them. So, in short, a single issue isn't as closed minded as you may think as it will dictate every other issue.

None of them will mess with 2A rights in their first term. When Obama get's reelected, he will definitely try.

Never indicated I support big government because I don't. I'm certainly not going to vote for a self admitted socialist that hates the American way of life.

18 debates so far according to FoxNews yesterday.

President Obama has changed a few things for me. The price of a round of 40SW has gone up from about 18cents to 30cents. The replacement cost of my H&K compact has gone from about $450 to $650. There is a waiting list for a good CCW class and it now cost about $150. More women than ever are at the gun club and I don't bother to go there on the weekend anymore. A gun store has opened up in the small town I live in. And, an American company named Ruger is selling the crap out of a tiny gun with a laser that, with some practice and the right ammo, will definitely help to stop a threat from being so threating.

the only reason prices went up is b/c of mass hysteria on ASSUMING he would do something anti-2A.

yep...born and raised. what's your point? i dont take the spoonfeeding of anything, especially politics or religion.

i didnt sayt that you supported big gvmt, but you asked if i'd rather have a socialist instead of someone that is for big gvmt.
