On duty and with a concealed permit, I am not sure if postal workers are allowed to carry. But if they aren't, then our government should reconsider. Certain neighborhoods in America where our postal workers go and deliver mail, you couldn't pay me to go there.

(CNN) -- Authorities are offering rewards totaling up to $125,000 for information about a fatal weekend shooting of a postal worker in Maryland.

Tyson Jerome Barnette, 26, was on duty when he was killed, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Shortly before 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday, officers were called the scene, where Barnette was pronounced dead from apparent gunshot wounds

Say what you will about the postal service and the people who work there but I'm fairly certain we can all agree that shooting a mail carrier is beyond senseless. Shooting a pizza guy because he might have $40 at least makes some sense; I still think the shooter should be put to death. Why on Earth would anyone shoot a mail carrier?

They are not allowed to carry any weapons any where on them or any vehicles yes they should be able to open or conceal any where they work as well as every working American should be allowed to have their weapon no matter the work place and so on!

This is what everyone is trying to find out. Why would someone want to shoot him, it wasn't even his normal route. Pretty sure the postal service and the police will find out who the BG is, especially when there is a nice reward involved.

It doesn't seem like there needs to be much of a reason to kill anymore. A couple years ago we had a guy stab and kill his friend with a fork in Chicago. They were arguing over who got the last meatball at dinner.

Bluestar99 you must be kidding, is there a link to this story??? I would love to read it, sounds interesting.
