Wow, serious stupid this man was. Why would you tell a probation occifer you had them in the first place? Hide them, give them to a family member or close friend to watch while you pay off your fines and then the court appointed money collector goes away. He wasn't a violent felon on parole just some dumb schmuck caught with drugs. The media acts like he was some long sought after cartel member terrorist at the top of the FBI's most wanted list. 1 million dollar bond for breaking probate rules on a misdemeanor? C'mon.

What do you think about this? Do you think the media makes too big an issue of it or is it something worthy of concern? I say who gives a crap he is a gun collector unfortunately hooked on nose candy and got caught.

It would appear the news media is making a big deal about nothing. But hey, don't miss a chance to sensationalize your agenda. But than it's not to smart of him to violate his probation. Doesn't say anything about him being violent or threatening. Business as usual for the news media.

I think the MSM uses this to further their own agenda. I also believe in law and order. People need to make a choice... obey the law and keep the guns or disobey it and surrender them. We all go through life knowing the consequences of our actions. Then we want sympathy when we screw it all up. To me this is akin to argueing a speeding ticket by saying one didn't know there was a speed limit.

Having a drug history and owning guns just dont mix, and he was popped with two dirty UA's. The only thing I dont like is the media and the way they say "arsenal of guns" everything else I can get on board with. Dont break the law and expect to have your rights or privileges remain in tact.

It don't matter what law's or law he broke. He was put on probation and was informed that he had to follow certain guide lines to get probation one of them being that he could not own any firearms let alone fail 2 unrin test. And I do concider 165 firearme's an arsenal. So now he will go to jail and the city or county will get the weapons and he will loose a small fortune in weapons. JUST DUMB

Yeah but a misdemeanor drug charge? What if one broke a minor traffic law or even a dui should he/she too be removed of firearms? If he had more arrests and convictions for drugs in the past he would not have been able to purchase weapons in the first place as he would have then been a felon. I believe the media is chasing sensationalism here and the "guns are bad" agenda. If he had 2 or 3 guns it never would have made the news but since he had an "arsenal" as big as a third world country it caught someone's eye.

Yes very dumb indeed but I believe the stipulation was no firearms in his residence as is with most misdemeanor convictions and probation. I was on probation once in the early 80's for a dui conviction and was asked about firearms at my home and I just replied I don't have any which was a lie end of story but that was last century. Always keep your mouth shut and deny everything in the eye of the law, make them prove otherwise.
