pocket carry

Does any one have ideas on pocket concealed carry? I have a S&W model 37 Chiefs Special, I ususally carry with an ankle holster.

Hammerless revolver, in a closed-bottomed pocket holster.

One huge advantage of pocket carry is being able to shoot from a pocket (esp a jacket pocket) - all semiautos will have failure to eject aka "stovepipes" if fired from a pocket. All conventional revolvers will get their hammers tangled up in the pocket fabric.

Love my smith airweight 38+p in double single action I have practiced and can remove easily with thumb on the hammer snag free and after practice the accuracy in single action is substantialy more acurate and the double action is there for speed. If anyone outdraws me they will have practiced a lot. Plus the airweight is so nice to carry everyday 14oz which means I always have it.

I have the LCP for true pocket carry and the LC9 for a small IWB semi. Had the Shield been available when I purchased my LC9 I might have opted for it but pocket carry is easier with the smaller .380s.

Just recently purchased a Taurus PT-738 TCP. It's in the same class as the R uger .380 that some on this site go on and on about. Very nice size for holstering in either a pocket - or you might consider - a wallet holster.

People talk about them because it is the most popular pocket gun and this is a gun forum. I had a Taurus subcompact in 45acp and it was a great gun.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was wondering why...

Apologies, rilkil23...didn't mean anything by my comment.

That's what I'm here for, to point out the obvious. Did I mention I have to use nail polish on my LCP to make out the sights? How many people carrying the LCP will admit to that fact? This month I am using "Sassy Red" on the front sight and "Passionate Purple" for the rear. I will now take a bow.............
