Pocket Carry Pistol

I am looking for a pocket carry pistol. Something small enough for a pocket but not so small that it would get lost in my hands when I need it. It isn't going to be possible for me to change out my wardrobe to make it possible for an inside the belt or outside the belt carry option.

I like the Ruger LCP with a Desantis Superfly holster. The holster is a front pocket holster that converts to a back pocket wallet holster and the LCP fits perfectly both ways. With Speer Gold Dot ammo you can carry this little gun with confidence.

An LC9 (9MM with Laser) fits nicely into a front pocket if you are wearing loose-fitting pants, or a Taurus TCP (380 Auto) will disappear in any pants pocket. I have both, and recommend either one.....but don't forget a pocket holster to protect the trigger, keep the butt upright and the pistol from shifting around - you don't want to go digging for it if you need it.
If I want to carry anything bigger, I still like my Thunderwear....

Look at the Diamondback DB9. It's as small as a .380, but holds six 9mm. It's got some kick but it's the smallest 9mm I've seen. Take a look.

Another vote for the P238. It's a great little pistol. Very soft shooting and easy to rack.

Good luck.

Ruger LC9 is a great choice. I have sold many to happy customers.

How does the LC9 compare to the Berretta Nano? I have owned several Berrettas and I am partial because of that, but I have never handled a Ruger pistol. I have heard the the nano has a cleaner trigger.

Glock 26 or 27 are WAY out of the question in my opinion. I love my glock, but they are not pocket pistols. Sig p238 I also own and love, but again, not for pocket. if u have a hard time with carrying iwb, then odds r u don't have huge pockets. (Like me, I'm not a big guy and my clothes aren't baggy) the p238 fits in most medium to large pockets, but definitely prints, and the beaver tail snags for sure. my Kel Tec, well... I just wouldn't recommend after owning. nuf said there. I have heard of reliability issues with diamondbacks, and the 9mm is not .380 sized. I owned a Kahr pm9, but sold it. it was a great gun, but also a bit large for pocket carry. people said that was nearly .380 size also, but they were full of crap. the Kahr p380 is very significantly smaller than the pm9! looking at the numbers, it may not seem so, but hold them both and u will see what I mean. there's a big difference. I believe u will get that comparing any pocket .380 to their similar 9mm counterparts. that said, after my experience with my Kahr pm9, which was a great one, I will be picking up the Kahr p380 for my next pocket pistol. my pm9 shot great and was flawlessly reliable, just wasn't the size I wanted. so that's my recommendation.

Keep in mind the j frame sized revolvers for pocket carry. They serve a very useful purpose, and pack plenty of "punch" into a small frame.

Taurus TCP, IWB Blackhawk @ 1330 is what I do most of the time. It's amazingly comfortable, as well as extremely concealable. It works for all seasons as a primary or BUG. I carried Gold Dot for awhile, but after futher research and testing I feel more comfortable carrying S&B 90gr FMJ... It's easy to find places/pockets for two spare mags for a total of 19 rounds. It's been reliable with almost all ammo after a break-in period... couple hundred rounds I think of different ammo.

The Ruger LCP is also an excellent option, I've heard nothing but positive things about it. The LC9 is an awesome option for IWB as well, not so much for pocket carry but, it can be done though...

I have not had the pleasure of firing the P238 or DBs... heard good things though.

This too... with the right wardrobe, my Ultralite is very concealable. Usually Winter carry though... unless it's cargo pocket carry, that works pretty well. I like Remington 125gr SJHP +Ps, they have good performance and are a bit cheaper than Critical Duty, Gold Dot or Golden Saber....

LCP conceals nicely.. I put a grip extension and a hogue grip on mine and it still conceals great. Very light weight.
