Just read this. Unfortunately looks like the employee will be fired for having a firearm. But this is how the head lines are supposed to read. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-ap-in-grocerystoreshoot,0,7896860.story
I totally agree!!Ouch, you know that has got to hurt. Shot him in the face huh? I guess we dont have to worry about that loser trying to rob any more Kroger stores huh. As for the employee, he is a hero. He can always get another job. It is not like he had a high profile position within the company AND both employees get to live another day to tell the story. Employers will never support employees who are armed no matter what. Their insurance companies are probably to blame for this.
Police say an Indianapolis grocery store employee shot and killed a man who was trying to rob the store while it was busy with customers.
If Wyatt Earp had missed and shot a customer, think he'd be a hero? There is a reason employers don't want their employees playing head of security. Want to be a security guard? Put it on the application.
Police say the shooting happened Monday evening at a Kroger store on the city's northwest side after the robber entered the store and placed a hard object in the back of a female worker. Police say he forced the woman to the store's office area where another employee shot him in the face.
