Pizza Delivery Workers Need CHL's Too!

I agree. Sometimes simple concepts are over the heads of our leaders. I cannot think of one single case of a LEO stopping a cab driver from being killed or a delivery person being mugged or killed. Authorities show up in force after the fact to make out the numerous reports and inform the families of the loss of the family breadwinner.

Unfortunately I seem to recall, most pizza chains have a no carry policy.

Policy be damned...These types of low paying jobs are a pretty much a dime a dozen.
I would conceal carry daily and if they ended up firing me, 'Oh Well, to Hell with them'.
It's better to be unemployed than dead or seriously injured i.m.h.o.

I couldn't agree more.

Delivery persons are particularly vulnerable to crime. I'm surprised that most employers don't require them to be armed.

The armored car guys are armed top protect the money. The pizza delivery guy should be armed to protect his life.

But sometimes, it ain't good when the pizza guy is armed: Pizza Delivery Man Allegedly Robs Teens

Now with Burger King going into the delivery business as well as Wendy's they ought to have permission to carry too...as well as actual carrying.

If I was a delivery person I would carry regardless of the company's policy. I can always find a new job, but I can't take care of my family if I'm dead.

Both of my jobs encourage me to carry. The Chinese and the pawn shop. :)
As a matter of fact, there are only two places that I go to that I can't carry- The State Capitol (I'll give 'em that one) and my college campus (I'd like to see that changed).

I thought I read sometime ago in one of the posts here that in Texas they are allowed to carry in college campus...I must be wrong...

Thanks for the reply. I am sorry about that. It would have been an added bonus for college studes and teachers to be able to carry over there.

I think that pizza delivery drivers should be required to carry, maybe that is why I will never be the person in charge of a big chain pizza joint. One of my favorite drivers here was killed about a year ago making a delivery. I'll bet if the people making the decision about refusing to allow them to carry had to make a few deliveries they would change their minds. Maybe some of them should do the "undercover Boss" thing a couple of times.

I used to deliver pizzas for some extra money. I always carried. Of course, I always worked for a small "Mom & Pop" shop. I only had one incident where someone tried to gain access to my vehicle when I was delivering. I just gunned it out of there. ('72 Chevy Nova...Great pickup from a stop.)
