Hey I wanted to kno is it possible to get non-resident pistol license in the states that allow them and how many I can have

I posses a non-resident Utah permit and my home state Wisconsin resident permit. WI does not offer non-resident licenses. I keep both for the fact that I cannot carry with the WI in certain states that I can with the Utah. I sat thru an 8 hour course and did 30 minutes of range time in addition to the fingerprinting, photo, and background checks to get the Utah. WI is much less, only requiring some sort of professional training course. If you travel, keep track of which states have reciprocity with your ccw's. Make a map or cheat sheet showing where you need to pack the firearm away and where it can carry and how it can be carried. Luck.

I think the best place to go for that info is handgunlaw.us. They can do a reciprocity map for you. It also has lots of useful information about transporting in that state, where & when you can carry & if you should tell the police if you get pulled over.

Why ? Get one for your state and check reciprocity map.Spend the money you save on ammo.

Some states (like mine) :frown: do not recognize non-res permits. So, you couldn't CC in them anyway. The best thing to do is get a res-permit from your own state, check the reciprocity and get a non-res if necessary.
