As a cpl holder in michigan I know where mi says I cant carry my pistol. But what about federally?

This is a quite old post in a different Forum. For example, you can carry in National Parks now. This post also doesn't mention the Gun-Free School Zones Act.

This is more up-to-date: http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/usa.pdf

That link has everything. However there is a mistake on the webpage:

Note: The U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado ruled July 10, 2013 that banning firearms in vehicles on Post Office Property was Unconstitutional. Bonidy vs USPS.

The actual ruling in Bonidy vs USPS:
http://www.handgunlaw.us/documents/FedCtofCoUSPSRuling.pdf

ORDERED, that the Defendants take such action as is necessary to permit Tab
Bonidy to use the public parking lot adjacent to the Avon Post Office Building with a firearm
authorized by his Concealed Carry Permit secured in his car in a reasonably prescribed
manner, and it is
FURTHER ORDERED, that the other claims of unconstitutionality of 39 C.F.R. §
232.1(l) made by Plaintiffs are denied.

Note that ONLY the Avon post office was required to allow ONLY Bonidy to keep his firearm in the parking lot. That order did not apply to any other post office nor to any other person. Further, the order specifically DENIED the claim that the general prohibition of firearms in vehicles on Post Office property was unconstitutional.
