Pistol carry in my car

I have a question about carrying a pistol in my car, I have a LTC but do I still have to keep gun concealed or can I keep it in the open?
P.S. I'm in Texas

See Handgunlaw | Texas for a reference. See Texas Penal Code 46.02 for the actual law. In short, you can open carry with a LTC as long as the handgun is in a shoulder or belt holster.
