While CNN’s Piers Morgan is a well known critic of America’s Second Amendment, he has now ventured into a new campaign to reform another document critical in the development of western civilization; the Bible.
Of course a certain somebody will claim I'm a troll and provocateur.:biggrin:
During a discussion on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” on Monday — Christmas Eve — with Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren, Morgan argued that there needs to be an “amendment to the Bible” for same-sex marriage, because like the Constitution, the Bible is “inherently flawed.”
“Both the Bible and the Constitution were well intentioned but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence, the need to amend it,” Morgan told Warren during a conversation where Morgan emphasized the need for America to separate Church and State.
“My point to you about gay rights, for example, it’s time for an amendment to the Bible.”
“Uh, no,” replied Warren, in a conversation that remained civil between both parties. “Not a chance. What I believe is flawed is human opinion, because it constantly changes.”
Morgan has attracted more media attention than usual over the last few weeks as he has increased his always vocal cries for increased gun control laws in America following the Newtown elementary school shooting earlier this month. Morgan’s campaign has infuriated Second Amendment enthusiasts, leading to a petition to the White House signed by over 75,000 calling for the CNN host’s deportation back to Britain. This development led to a counter protest in the UK “Stop Piers Morgan from being deported back to the UK from America.”
Warren has debated LGBTQ issues on Morgan’s show before, discussing his thoughts with the host last November on whether or not someone can be born gay.

The only religion that needs to be separated from government is the religion of atheism. The anti-establishment clause is inseparably linked to the free exercise clause. Which atheists trend to ignore, thinking that only they should be allowed free exercise of atheism and that atheism should be the established religion taught in schools. That Piers should have the chutzpah to set himself above biblical prophets is pretty much all you need to know about him. It sums him up nicely. And elevating deviant sexual behavior to a privileged status while responsible parenting declines in all the liberal strongholds across the nation and children prey on children in liberal defined kill zones pretty much sums up liberal moral priorities. Liberalism is the moral equivalent of clueless tyrants fiddling while society burns.

Atheism is the established religion of communist/marxist states and all other religions are actively persecuted in China, Russia, and North Korea. Just as socialistic elements in the U.S. publicly ridicule and litigiously attack the dominant religions here. Fascistic statists cannot tolerate competing dogma, particularly, that of a supreme being from whom individual rights are derived. In atheism, rights come from government. There is a presumed social contract which is always broken as soon as power is consolidated. Therefore, the religion of atheism is the natural handmaiden of an all-powerful state. It was not and never will be libertarian conservatives and tea party "nut jobs" who commit murder on tens of millions of their own citizens in the cause of the common good. In the last hundred years it has only ever been socialist/marxist states who disarmed their citizens and then eliminated everyone who resisted. Hitler and Mussolini were socialist before they graduated to fascism. Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot were communists. They were the progressives of their time. Fighting for the poor and oppressed. There's nothing of any substance whatever to think about in that bizarre diatribe. Maybe if I had ever used marijuana I'd be better equipped to try to figure out what it attempts to say. Back to the topic: Morgan is an idiot who happens to be right about keeping religion out of government. The Establishment Clause requires it and limits extension of the rights conveyed by the Free Exercise clause to use of govt as a vehicle for religious expression. "God" on money, in oaths, etc, etc, are regrettable anomalies which doesn't changes those basic Constitutional principles.

Beginning in the early 1900's there has been a concerted effort to suppress the influence of Christianity from the public sector with the ultimate goal of eliminating the same.

In the 1960's this effort was escalated and began to make tremendous in roads into our society. Unfortunately the timeline shows that many of the social ills and issues we deal with today are undeniably consistent. In the absence of light, darkness will prevail.

It is not the Constitution that is flawed but the chaos that ensues when men try to edit its meaning to fit their personal agenda.

It's not the Bible that is flawed but the social thinking that man can live and govern himself with any kind of consistency and real justice apart from the Word of God.

As far as Piers Morgan or anyone else who immigrated into this country please remember this. (1) society in general didn't ask you to come to this country (2) society in general isn't asking you to stay (3) if you don't like the way we do things you are welcome to leave.

Last but not least, any discussion of the 2nd Amendment without a genuine discussion of the root of the current social issues which is the abuse of the 1st Amendment would be futile. The news media and the entertainment industry will tell you that they have little or no influence on how people think or act. At the same time they're sales staff are busy convincing manufacturers and retailers that their advertising will generate sales and revenue. In my simple way of thinking either they influence the minds or they don't.

Freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.
Broken up it gives you a sense of protection for many different entities under one amendment.

As you read this one amendment you notice the clauses are in conjunction with and in support of this amendment, but other entities will also enjoy it's protection.

Atheism is a religion and a belief system. The key problem with atheism is that it lacks a strong “selling point.” Atheism is a religion of fools believing in evolution and professing to be "Freaks of Nature". They're belief system is clear, they believe that "Nothing plus nothing plus time equals something", them, "Freaks of Nature". Believing that they have evolved and are one with nature, these "Tree Humpers" greatest fear is the validity of the Holy Bible, and therefore the sole purpose of their "existence" revolves around attacking the validity of the Holy Bible.
