Looking forward to trying it out. Anyone here have one? Does it prefer 1 type of ammo over another, or will it be like my XD .40 and eat any ammo fed to it?

Any thoughts or input would be appreciated!

Some ppl have problems with theirs. From limp wristing poor grip ect. You can find that at the Xds forumns and elsewhere also. Bu then theres alot of ppl like me who never had a problem. Just don't ride the rack when you chamber the first round. Do it like the Manuel says. Fast and hard or use the lock.

Love mine. Hornady 185 gr. critical defense, Blazer 230 gr. FMJ, American Eagle (Federal) 230 gr. FMJ no problems. Just the cost of ammo is the only problem. But that goes with a 45 ACP.

Congrats! you will love it and like the other have said it will eat anything I put in it anyway, I even put some Tulammo in it but I don't like the aluminum caseing or the steel.

I don't know what their supply looks like right now, but targetsports.com has decent prices on .45 ammo. I've always liked Remington Golden Sabers as SD ammo, and I got a few 25 round boxes at around $15.00 a box. They were out of the 230 grain, so I had to settle for 185

Went to the range and ran about 100 rds through it. Love the gun. Just as accurate as my xd.40. Now have to find some 7 rd mags for it without breaking the bank (the ammo will do that). Will prob order directly from Springfield as it seems everyone else is out or price gouging ($60 up on EBay for 1).

I used Estate FMJ and also through some Federal Personal Defense Rounds through it just to make sure it works. Waiting on some ammo ordered through Palmetto State Armory and Natchez Shooting Supply.

Wait till you have a gun that holds 30 rounds at a time. And 30 seconds later it is empty of those .45ACP rounds.
