Picatinney rail on an 870 with related front bead...

I have a question for you tactical shotgun guru's.

Having an 870 with the drilled & tapped receiver, perhaps as they all might, and want to install this: SHOTGUN RECEIVER MOUNT PICATINNY RAIL - Brownells

The idea being that the centerline "valley" along the length could serve as a bit of a rear sight. Also I might want to use a red dot of sorts in the future. Anyway, my question is in regard to the likely raising of the front bead to get a 'sight picture' thus raising the shots. Soooo, anyone know of a taller front bead for the 870?

I've seen the XS big dot stuff and the like, but what i really want is a TALLER bead, not necessarily a bigger one, to compensate for the height of the accessory rail.

I did the ghost sights on my 870. The front sight sits on a heat shield (yes I have put enough rounds through it at once to burn my arm, yes it was funny) which does raise it up a bit. The rear sights also sit a little higher, so I always have to aim about 1" - 1.5" above where I am shootin to hit dead on. Once you shoot enough and learn how your gun shoots you automatically adjust when shooting it.

But the only raised sights I have seen on the front were those on heat shields. You might be able to use a tall post from a slug barrel on it though to get your raised front sight

I put the rail and Big Dot XS front sight on mine and it works great (also a tac light under the barrel with a pressure switch)...
