i don't think it was a hate crime but it was a gruesome and bizarre crime nontheless
i doubt the guy being out of his mind of 'bath salts' even knew what color the guy was or even thought he was a person at all... being he ate the dudes face
he was prolly trippin' ballz on that bath salt stuff and prolly hungry from muchies from smoking pot too and thought it was a hamburger or something
or he could have been trippin that he was a ferocious lion eating some wild prey even
 
Horrific and the surveillance video piece that the major news organizations cared to share showed the victim kicking while he was being chewed on. Sounds like the guy that did this had prior run-ins with the law and they suspect he had used "bath salts" prior to his assault. Never saw that the 'bath salts' might be the instigator for the Zombie Apocalypse. I had always heard radioactive fallout from a crashing satellite, viral strain hybrid or genetic mutation. Lock and Load, Double Taps and Head Shots for all!
 
I am having troubles understanding how this poor guy got to this condition if he was alive in the first place. Was he drugged up as well? Just doesn't make sense

I'm guessing that the elderly victim was probably both drunk and sleeping in the shade when he was attacked.
Many homeless people tend to sleep & drink a lot, not to mention that he is almost 70 years old and probably pretty feeble.

The poor elderly victim really didn't stand a chance against this 30 year old, physically fit, psychotic maniac.
 
I really don't understand why they added a new adjective to a crime - HATE crime.
If it's a crime, punish the perp. If there is a death penalty specification involved, KILL the GUILTY party - the perp.

This "hate" crap is for the birds. A crime is a CRIME.
 
yes but the motives for crime can also be defined hate fear jealousy racism prejudices greed lust addictions and control issues etc which gives us a better understanding of why a person is acting out violently deceptively and or criminally
getting to the root of the issue is half the battle in prevention and rehabilitations
 
Everyone, I saw news articles on NPR and Fox that said they believe the guy was on synthetic meth, or "bath salts." Those synthetics are bad news.

I agree with you 100%, a crime is a crime 'period'.

I'm also sick and tired of the race card being overplayed almost every hand.

However, black folks get to cry 'racism' and 'hate crime' whenever a white person hurts or kills one of them.
Therefore white folks should also get to scream 'racism' and 'hate crime' whenever they are harmed or killed by a black person.
Just my .02 cents.
 
People these days, do whatever gets them high. Maybe munching on hobos' faces who havent bathed in lord knows how long while naked is the new way to get high. Hope the kids don't catch on.

Oh, haven't you heard? According to the University of Delaware, what you propose cannot be done. See excerpt below followed by the link.

A Racist: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all white people (i.e. people of European descent) living in the United States regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality.
By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities or acts of discrimination.
