I am taking a trip to Philadelphia very soon. I have a PA LTC. I have been looking but can't find any info on if I cannot carry in:
Philadelphia Zoo
The Franklin Institute
Philadelphia Museum of Art

I know I cannot carry at National Park Sites.

Thanks for any help

You will be fine in all 3 of those locations....as long as you CC. Not sure about the Zoo but the Art Museum and FI are privately owned so they could ask you to leave if you OC.

I got to Philly constantly for work and every time I am there Im wishing I got my Utah permit already. Walking the streets in Philly brings back a lot of bad memories of Growing up in the Bronx. Makes me itch. You should carry everywhere you can.

All three are either privately owned, or owned by the city. This means that you, with a valid PA LTCF, are permitted to carry.

Since you have that LTCF, you ARE permitted to carry either concealed or open. Your choice. (You can only open carry in Philly with an LTCF)

However, Philadelphia is well known to be an anti-gun hotspot. They are very likely to ask you to leave if you open carry. And that's the best case scenario. More likely, they'd call the cops, who will pretty much ignore your right to carry with an LTCF, and harass you to no end. They may even arrest you for some made up charge, only to release you later. There have been numerous cases of things like that. Seriously. Philly sucks.

So if you are going to carry in those places with your family, I'd suggest going concealed. Unless, of course, you are trying to bring attention to Philly's anti-gun policies. Up to you though!

Well, we went last weekend. I did carry concealed as I do not want to bring unnecessary harassment to my family. We had no problems except for a 2 hour traffic jam getting to the zoo.

Thanks for the tips everybody.

Only a two hour traffic jam? You must have been on Route 76 (Schyulkill Expressway). You're lucky it was only two hours.
