Petition asking the Government to pass a law to make all 50 states 'Shall Issue'

As we all know, our safety is OUR responsibility, in some states however, there is a law prohibiting law abiding persons from defending themselves with the use of a firearm, outside of their home that is, and if theyre allowed, they have a long difficult process in order to obtain a permit.

First the whole concept of this is flawed. Basically by signing this your saying that the gov has a right to require a license to have/ carry a firearm. That and your putting you information in white house .gov?

First off all please THINK first. This petition is perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Who, in their right mind wants the present left-wing-all-too-powerful-already government involved in their "rights"? Especially their God-given right to protect themselves and family with arms? I hope this petition fails to acquire even one more signature.
For crimany sake, that's what your State Legislature is for... Vote sensibly!

To be honest, as much as I would love to see all states have to recognize other states CFL's I'm not sure the federal government has the right to do this. Of coarse I'm not a constitutional lawyer, that's just my read on the situation. I hope I'm wrong about this though.

I did not post it on We the people, just thought it was kind of interesting, and yes, I think it would be right (in some ways) for the Federal Government to step in and say "hey, let these people carry if they want to" without states, cities, or counties banning CC in any shape or form, OR from making it difficult to acquire.

As much as I'd like to see each state support their citizens by following this suggestion, having the feds force them to do it with another mandate on the states is another move closer to the all powerful centralized government that our founders worked and fought so hard to prevent.

Do you really think that this Administration, who is already known to be anti-gun, would ever step in and say, 'hey, let these people carry if they want to?
I don't believe that it is ever right for the federal government to ever stick their noses into any of our inalienable rights. JMHO

If the Federal Government can actually "force" the state legislatures pass a "Shall Issue" law then that same reasoning means they can force the states to pass a "Shall Not Issue" law. Keep the Feds out of the whole thing. If you cannot convince your state to go "Shall Issue" you probably need to move to another state.
