We loose a lot of our most talented to soon!

Prayers too her Family!

Regardless of HOW she died, she died and my heart goes out to her family who, regardless of her drug use or her stormy marriage, loved her in ways no fan possibly could. RIP Whitney.

Have the news finally made up their minds yet? Is she actually dead (if she is, I mean no disrespect at all, and wish comfort for her family and friends) It is just that the news kept going back and forth all afternoon, dead, alive, dead, alive... they kept retracting and then reporting....

I say her best performance was in the movie "The Body Guard". She could act and boy-o-day! What a voice! Pure shame she's gone. My condolences go to her family. And I hope that Bobby Brown gets run over by his crack supplier.

"And they said at the end of that road I was on, was somewhere between Jennings and Jones" -- Jamey Johnson..

Some are able to stop or turn off that road. Others find the place where the road ends...

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas, and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the time of Mozart's death. The circumstances of his early death have been much mythologized. He was survived by his wife Constanze and two sons.

Wittnety who????

I agree Bobby Brown was her down fall..

If you do not want to read about a very popular singer's death then don't click on it. Some just look for something to gripe about. She had one of the best singing voices and loved to hear it. Shame to live such a short life.

I thought I was alone there! My fondest hope of support and comfort to Whitney's family, but seriously, all the hoopla from people who did NOT know her and who's lives will NOT be effected by her death? Another star drops from the druggy sky...

Not my type of music but she was a helluva singer. When she first broke onto the scene I was in college and working at a supermarket. The music that was piped over the store's speaker system was usually from an "adult contemporary" station and as a result we all became quite familiar with her work regardless of our individual tastes in music.

I don't think it's unreasonable at this point to say that drugs might very well have played a role in her demise.

Latest is she was found dead in her bath tub. Maybe passed out and drowned or had a heart attack. Such a waste of great talent.

She should have said 'Nope to dope' & 'Ugh to drugs.'
It's truly a tragedy that so many people waste their lives away with drugs. ~SMH~

She had problems, but so do most people. 48 is still too young to die so stupidly, if the cause was indeed drugs. Such a waste of incredible talent. :(

I don't listen to pop music... I don't follow trends... I liked Dolly's version better... Death is the constant... How, when, and where are the variables... By next week she'll be not so news worthy...
