Hello everyone my name is John
and this is my first post. This year in order to keep our way of life, I purchased two Springfield XDM's for my sons and am teaching them how to use them and be responsible gun owners. May they continue to have the freedoms we enjoy. Merry christmas to all. And by the way, if you do happen to have any of the springfield mugs left, I would enjoy drinking my morning coffee from it. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum! Educating our children is the most important thing we can do to perpetuate the freedom we have enjoyed. Though I have regrets in that regard, I am working hard to rectify them and enjoying some success.

Bought my 9 year old son a .22LR rifle for Christmas... I've spent time with him on our indoor/basement Air-soft range. I run it like a real range and enforce the rules. He's a good safety student.
He and I will be at the real range perhaps during my week off..

Welcome John. Nothing wrong with starting the kids off with a good gun. Maybe I am a bit anxious, but I bought my (first and only) daughter a 10/22, and she just just about 10 months old. Also as an instructor I teach free firearms courses to kids ages 8 to 17, just to make sure they are safe and help them grow up to be responsible gun owners. I commend you for your efforts.
