P238

Just picked up my newest toy. Sig P238, 380 ACP.
It's the NITRON edition with rosewood grips. I bought
this gun sight unseen & I am very impressed.
Will shoot it Tue., then will decide if this becomes a
replacement for my LCP.
Ordered 2 extended mags & a holder, for it. The
holster that comes with it is pretty nice.
This setup is so small, it will make a great CC gun
with shorts & a t-shirt.
When my wife saw it she said," Oh how cute !"
Yeah right,badass cute !

I love the Sig P238 so much, I have two. It's a great shooter and handles remarkably well for such a small package. You'll enjoy it!

Should have got the 938 sig its 9 millimeter
Your oppinion is noted. But this is not the only gun I own.
What makes you think I NEED another 9mm? For sure, I did
not NEED another 380.
I only NEED one gun, it's a 1911. And yes, I do have more than one.

Sweet !!!
I love my Sig's.
Question: Is it a Double Action Only?
I had a Baby Magnum Research 380 and it was DA only. I hated it! Just spoiled with SA Semi's I guess. IT's gone. 9mm smallest I have now but sure wanted this for ankle carry back
up gun.

This is a SAO. It is basically a micro 1911.

If you still want one, I have one I was thinking of selling. It's the nitron but with black grips.

You mentioned whether it would replace your LCP. Let me tell you about my situation. My wife fell in love with the SigP238 at a Women and Guns class. She shot it well and we decided to take her to get one. She still has it, and still loves it. When we took it to the range, I couldn't believe how accurate it was, even at 25 YARDS! I had to get one for myself. And I did. And I love it.

Here's the problem. I carry a striker-fired firearm everyday. It has no external safety. I have trained with this for years and have the muscle memory down. One time at the range, I was holster drawing and firing the P238 and several times I just didn't hit the safety release. I'm so trained without one, that I suddenly realized the P238 is not for me.

I'm in the process of deciding which .380 BUG I want without an external safety.

Since you say that you carry a 1911 now, this most likely will not be a problem for you.

I do carry a 1911 alot. But I also carry Springfields that have no manual safety. I don't think I would have a problem
"remembering" which gun I was carrying. But then again in a life threatening situation, who knows?
I do ok with the LCP at the range, but I had to paint the front sight to be able to see it. The super long trigger pull
is a bigger issue for me as far as accuracy goes.
I can hardly wait to shoot it tomorrow, It's cleaned & lubed & ready to go.

I purchased a Sig. P-238 Equniox about two years ago. It has since become my every day carry, in a Remora clipless holster. The 238 has replaced my LPC. This little Sig. is very accurate, easy to conceal, and light weight.

Just got back from the range. I put 50 FMJ through it. No issues.
Was a little off at 21' so I moved up to 12'. Much better results.
After about 24 rounds I moved back out to 21' & it was much better.
I like the night sights, much better than the LCP. Will take some
practice to get used to this little bugger, but I do like it.
Next week I'll run a box of PowerBalls through it, just to make sure
it's functioning well enough to carry.
Ordered 2 7rd. extended mags, hope to have them next week. The
extra finger hold should help alot.
This is not a cheap pocket gun by any means, but I think with the
controls being similar to a 1911, along with the fit & function of
this piece, make it well worth the extra cash.
