I am 5'7" and about 250#. Does anyone have an idea as to the best way to carry concealed? For comfort and safety?

I carry IWB at 5 o'clock. (6'0" 350) I prefer the Sticky Holster for my Ruger SR9. If I carry the Bersa .380 it goes in the back right pocket.

I am 5' 9" and 250lbs. I carry an XD subcompact in an IWB holster by Cleavlands Holsters called the Ugly Holster. It has a huge number of adjustments on how it can ride. 49 to be exact. There is no reason anyone can' t find a comfortable position with one of these. There is also a 30 day moneyback guarantee. Check out their web site cleavlandsholsters.com . Don't forget the S.

I'm a man of girth myself and carry a full size 1911 auto. Find a holster that's comfortable. I would ensure your belt is max width giving the best support to your weapon while holstered. Also consider a shoulder holster. There great in the winter, just make sure the shoulder straps are wide enough to support the weight of the weapon and extra mags.

I am 5'7" 233 lbs I wear jeans tee shirt tucked in. suspenders, crossbreed holster. large shirt over the top of a kimber compact cdp (4 to 5 oclock). If I feel the need? Carry spare mags on belt

thanks for all the feedback. I am looking at several options and appreciate your experience. I am looking at several IWB holsters and look forward to finding what works best for me.

You dont have near the problems of a small frame person, can hide nearly anywhere as long as its a normal cc piece, desert magnum might be a problem, might not.9mm full size will disappear, even a 45.Compact anything from pocket to iwb, larger iwb or cell phone hideaway, that one pulls up and out to use.
Whatever you are comfortable with and some carry places just arnt for some, and fine for others.
You should be also able to reach it and get it out without to much input. And be able to fire whatever it is repeatedly, and do so safely.
And be able to do all the above as quickly as possible.

I'm 6' 360. The most comfy and practical I've found is the crossbreed supertuck. It spreads out the clips far enough so the holster doesn't shift. Shifting is a problem normally for me. Its comfy as a holster can be and my sw 40c and my beretta px4 dissolve into my love-handles nicely and hide.
