Out of state working in hospital

Hello all I am a medical student working in hospitals on rotations. I am a Minnesota resident but am currently in rotations in Utah. Next month I will be in Detroit and I would really like to get my conceal and carry in Utah before I go to Detroit.

My question:
Can I be a non resident and get my conceal and carry in Utah and have it be legal forMichigan?

theres a nice map on this website for that exact question. and according to it.... no. michigan does not honor out of state permits from utah.

According to that same map, MI does recognize RESIDENT MN permits. You might want to check how your "student in rotation" status interacts with your "state of residence" status in each of the states involved.

Additionally, since Utah and MN recognize each other's permits, UTAH will require a copy of your MN permit before they will issue a Utah non-resident permit.

A Utah non-resident permit would add NINE states to those you could already carry in with your MN permit.

You probably can get the REQUIRED UTAH TRAINING COURSE from an instructor in Utah cheaper than what most outside Utah charge for the same class.
